Thousands of health influencers and decision-makers are expected to come to Helsinki, and the congress will feature more than 120 healthcare and health technology experts and thought leaders from around the world. In addition to lectures, panel discussions and workshops, participants will also be shown Finnish skills in practice by arranging visits to places of interest within the health sector. Finland’s pioneering spirit is reflected in the program
The Finnish partners of the event are the Ministry of Social Affairs and Health, the Ministry of Economic Affairs and Employment, the Finnish Innovation Fund Sitra, Business Finland, the City of Helsinki with its Health Capital Helsinki project, the University of Helsinki, HUS Helsinki University Hospital, Turku Science Park, KuopioHealth, OuluHealth and the event site Helsinki Expo and Convention Centre.
”The Finnish partners of the congress will produce their own program for the congress, which will strongly highlight Finland’s pioneering role in accelerating digital change. We present our own vision for a more sustainable, safer and smarter future for health. We have chosen three globally interesting themes: active ageing, data utilization and the construction of intelligent, customer and care-centric hospitals,” says Kari Klossner, Program Director for Business Finland’s Smart Life Finland program.
The HIMSS insights series has published an eBook publication that anticipates the same themes, presenting Finland’s pioneering work as a developer of its health ecosystem, data utilizer and promoter of private-public partnerships.
The country stand presents Finnish companies to an international audience
The Finnish Pavilion with its dozens of stands is an own showcase for Finnish companies for an international audience of experts, from doctors to hospital managers, nursing teams, researchers and other companies operating in the same industry. The exhibition also melds investors and start-ups in an effective way.
Kari Klossner points out the importance of meeting in person since the longest time: ”Business Finland is currently building a concrete Finnish offering on active aging and smart hospitals. These will be our focus themes during the conference. Finland stand will be worth a visit at HIMSS22 and Business Finland is one of the most visible ones. We are bringing additional discussions, key note speakers and side visits to program. Business Finland’s aim is to attract international decision makers in person to Helsinki. We hope that wide range of healthcare operators and companies will join the event”.
Registration for the congress is open and the program can be viewed on the congress website.
The HIMSS Congress was held as a physical event in Helsinki once in 2019, bringing together more than 3,000 industry experts and business representatives from around the world.
