We use ISO/IEC 27001:2013 certified practices and risk analysis to enhance the security in Data Center and office spaces. Data Center location has an on-site Infodesk. Facility maintenance can be done without entering the Server Halls.

Network services

Kajaani has diverse fiber connections to 3 FICIX internet exchange points and from there on multiple reliable routes to European network. Eastwards, there is a direct fiber connection from Kajaani to Russia, which provides a unique, direct route to Russian market.

There is multiple cable routes to Data Center area. All major domestic operators are present at the business park to ensure competitive pricing. Herman IT is a carrier neutral operator. Operator fibres are ready in two (2) separate Meet Me Rooms (MMR). There is existing connectivity from Meet Me Rooms to Herman IT Data Center. Cable trays and fibers are redundant.

Notes on infrastructure services

Operation, repair, maintenance and replacement of the Data Center facility infrastructure and machinery is done with a planned preventative maintenance program. Herman IT Data Center requires no shutdowns for equipment replacement and maintenance.

Cyber security

Security system complies with the requirements of the ISO/IEC 27001:2013 standard. Disaster recovery, operational security and business continuity planning as part of operating according to ISO 27001 standard. We educate our staff constantly to ensure information security.
