Nokia Kolmenkulma Data Center Site
Kolmenkulma Data Center Site is ideally located at the heart of the logistical Center of South Finland, near the city of Tampere approximately 17 km away. National road network connects the area with four major harbors at the West and South coast of Finland. Capitol city of Helsinki is less than two hours away with a motor way and also flight connection making it convenient to fly all the way to Tampere-Pirkkala via Helsinki-Vantaa or Stockholm airports. Site area is approximately 13,4 hectares. Area can be built fast to house a Data Center. Power and water connections are available due to existing industrial zoning in the area. Finland has a very stable geological environment due to oldest bedrock of the world. There are no flood risks or other disaster risks from the nature. The area is one of the key ICT areas in Finland with strong academic institutions and innovative spirit. Continuous ongoing investments to house new technology and industries will provide customers that would put the DC waste heat into good use. The area will have significant investments supporting circular economy and material re-circulation. Companies producing bio gas from organic waste, companies that recycle plastics and rubber and also turn plastics and rubber into oil through pyrolysis are just a few examples of such companies.

Cooling options of the site are excellent. Both air and water cooling options are possible. The climate gives efficient air cooling option around the year and there´s plenty of surface water reservoirs in the vicinity to provide make-up water for for the cooling towers.
Type of ground
Fairly even soil surface, some forestry and other surface vegetation.
Levelling of plot
Plot is partly construction ready / levelledType of forestry (if plot not levelled)
Typical tree types in the area are bruce and pine.
