Our value proposition

With the FICE-100 ice radar developed in Finland, vessels can find the old rifts, clean ice and channels made by other vessels. By using these, the vessel consumes much less power and saves fuel and time.

Our offering

FICE-100 is connected to the vessel’s navigation radar, and it utilizes the navigation radar signals. FICE-100’s algorithm calculates and presents the ice condition. It creates the image, making the fine structures of the ice and rifts visible. The system discovers the optimum route to go through the ice, and shows the track in poor visibility. The usable ice detection is up to 6 NM. FICE-100 has been tested for compliance with the IEC60945 standard.

Furuno Finland is a subsidiary owned by Japanese Furuno Electric Co, Ltd. We are designing, manufacturing and supplying ship's navigation systems. Furuno Finland has a long experience in new building and retrofit bridge solutions deliveries for all types of vessels. Our special expertise is the turnkey delivery when we design, produce, install, and commission the bridge worldwide. Furuno Finland has R&D department, which is developing in cooperation with the parent company ECDIS and integrated bridge software addition to Furuno Finland products like FICE-100 ice radar.
